My name is Dr. Jay Chung, and I am anxious to share the gift of my specialized treatment with you.  As an experienced, licensed acupuncturist with a background as an herbalist, I have had extensive training in the area of myofascial pain.  I earned the distinction of “Outstanding Doctor” in the field of Natural Medicine from the Dongguk Royal/South Baylo University, and have had the opportunity to work in many different types of acupuncture practices.  My experiences have led me to believe that personalized attention is vital to effectively treat illness.

My focus with acupuncture is to help my clients let go and move on.  This allows them to grow spiritually by setting in balance the more subtle frequencies outside the body’s energy field, rather than merely treating the signs and symptoms of physical imbalance.

Our bodies hold within them the past, present, and future and they hold that information as energy. The energy moves inside the body through what acupuncturists call meridians. We move, feel, and live because of the energy flowing through these meridians. When the energy stops or stagnates, we have a hard time moving, thinking, feeling, and have difficulty living our life to the fullest.  Stagnation of energy can lead to pain and prolonged stagnation leads to the formation of chronic disease inside our bodies. Acupuncture is one way to directly open up these blockages and to help maintain the bodies’ naturally balanced state. 

I am one of the very few acupuncturists in Southern California who practices a technique called Constitutional Disease Differentiation. What this means is that I am qualified to find the root of your problem and discern how it is related to other conditions you may have.
